Location:

Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve promises an authentic bushveld experience: breathtaking panoramas, plentiful wildlife, comfortable bush-style accommodation, service with a smile and exquisite dining.

The Sabi Sand reserve lies adjacent to the southwest corner of the Kruger National Park. There are no fences between the two reserves, allowing game to move freely between the two areas. You are also guaranteed exclusivity – our concession rights dictate that only two game vehicles at a time can traverse the area, so no overcrowding, no noise and no waiting in line.

The intimate Cheetah Plains lodge offers superb service and luxury accommodation, and its trademark comfort and warmth will have you feeling right at home.

The Wildlife:

Cheetah Plains is home to South Africa's "Big 5", as well as cheetah, hyena, jackal, buck, giraffe, and zebra. Game drives begin early in the morning, when most of the animals are active and sightings are common.

The lodge offers two safaris daily, as well as a daily guided bush walks. The safari experience at Cheetah Plains is unique in the sense that the lodge does not only concentrate on the Big Five.

In addition to game viewing activities, Cheetah Plains offers guests the unique opportunity to learn about the history of the reserve and the local people. You can also sit back and relax under thatch on the upper deck or alongside the outdoor swimming pool which is positioned in a small grove of Tamboti trees.
